Things to Know

A Little Knowledge is a Good Thing

School Shopping:  Set a budget in advance.  Share this with the family so you purchase only those items on the list and don't get "distracted" by the latest pair of power sneakers.

College:  If you are being charged for insurance or some other health care fee, make sure that it doesn't duplicate your family coverage.  If it does, get the charge waived.

Financial Aid:  Find out what grade point average you must maintain to keep financial aid.  And then earn those grades.

Textbooks:  Access book vendors on the Internet or use a comparison shopping service, so you can price out books from many bookstores and find the best buy.
